Release notes: Evaluations pt. I
At SUMM, we’re constantly improving your experience. This update focuses on clarity, control, and insight—both for admins and team members. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s new and what’s coming next.
For everyone: clear tasks and a streamlined dashboard
A clean and organized platform makes work easier for everyone. With this update, we’re introducing:
- A streamlined dashboard: Old and irrelevant evaluation requests will disappear as soon as an admin closes evaluations. This means less clutter and more focus on what truly matters.
- Clearer evaluation results: Skill results are now presented more clearly in Collections, allowing you and your team to better understand performance and areas for growth.
Whether you’re an employee tracking your goals or a team lead conducting evaluations, these improvements ensure that everyone can work more efficiently and with greater insight.
For admins: full control over the evaluation cycle
Admins now have even more tools to tailor evaluation processes to their organization’s needs:
- Manually start and close evaluations
At the top of the evaluation overview, you’ll now find buttons to start or close an evaluation.
Starting: Evaluations only begin when you decide it’s time.
Closing: Closing an evaluation clears out pending requests and instantly creates a more organized environment. This is especially useful for old, no longer relevant evaluations. - Combined evaluation requests
All evaluations for an employee (e.g., culture, skills, and goals) are now consolidated into a single request. This simplifies the process for both admins and participants. - More flexibility in evaluation assessors
You can now decide who performs which evaluation. You’re no longer restricted to team leads or self-evaluations. And you're free to select anyone in your company to assess anyone's goals, skills or culture. This allows for a more customized evaluation process tailored to your organization’s specific needs.
The future: more control and insight for everyone
We work hard to make SUMM better every day. In the coming months, we’re focusing on:
- Culture evaluations integrated into the general overview: Culture evaluations will soon be part of the consolidated evaluations overview. This means less navigation and a more seamless process for admins, helping them manage all evaluations in one place.
- The manage page: A central hub for admins to manage everything related to their teams and evaluations.
- More control for admins: Cycle management and rituals that are fully customizable to meet your organization’s needs.
- More insight for employees: Dashboards, collections, and team pages will be enhanced to better support employees in their growth and performance.
